I'm a higher education/medical education administrator with over a decade of experience. I started my career as an academic advisor in the pre-medical and pre-health post-baccalaureate programs at Northwestern University's School of Professional Studies and then transitioned into a program management role. A few years later, I was recruited by the School of Communication, where I spent 5.5 years as the assistant director for the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology and Master of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning programs. The opportunity to continue exploring my passion in health professions education and collaborating with others in the School of Communication (which happens to be the school from which I graduated with my BA) was a wonderful experience that made me excited to go to work each morning.
In the summer of 2022 I transitioned into professional medical education in a remote role at Mayo Clinic. I'm the Senior Program Manager for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Analytics Education in the Center for Digital Health. In this role, I am building and expanding education programs focusing on AI/ML and analytics for Mayo physicians, clinicians, data scientists/analysts, IT professionals, business leaders, and researchers. I also lead the Cloud education and enablement program at Mayo Clinic as part of
the partnership with Google Cloud. I hold an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Medical Education in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and am a Senior Fellow in the Mayo Clinic Academy of Educational Excellence.
In addition to my full-time work, I have several successful "side hustles" that span a variety of areas of expertise in higher education, including curriculum development and assessment, admissions, event management, and advising. I am also an adjunct faculty member at several universities and currently
teaching at both the post-baccalaureate and graduate levels. Most recently, I was selected to be the faculty director for a brand new degree program at Northwestern University --
a B.S. in Health Sciences offered through the School of Professional Studies. This degree will be part of a new package of
online bachelor degree programs, which collectively are the first entirely online undergraduate degree offered by the university. Our health sciences degree program will launch in fall 2024.
