I'm a member of the board of directors for the Fox Valley Ballet, which produces a large Nutcracker production every winter to bring together professional dancers and dance students in the western suburbs. We also host a s Spring Dance Festival in Naperville, IL and offer scholarships to local dance students to attend additional training opportunities that they otherwise may not have the financial means to pursue.

I think you can learn a lot about a person based on their choice in music. I've spent far too much time curating playlists, including this list of my top 100 songs of all time (without repeating any artists/bands).

Since 2010, I've been a choreographer for Freespace, an annual dance concert in the Chicago suburbs that brings together professional and pre-professional dancers to perform new works each summer. Since its premiere performance in 2002, Freespace has been dedicated to raising money for local non-profit organizations by donating all the proceeds from ticket sales to charity.
